With all due respect, and these gods and goddesses certainly had a following in old Norway, and were even honored in the weekday names we know now (Odin=>Wednesday, Freyja=>Friday) --
From what little I know of these figures and what they were stated to do and where they lived and how they were revered in certain quarters, one would have to "port over" Judeo-Christian concepts to them before they could become plausible gods and goddesses given what men know now. The Bible's account simply seems to make more sense. I freely confess that I have had some influence from Hugh Ross, at http://www.reasons.org who is an "old earth creationist." But Hugh has an intriguing story to share.
