GM brands survived the Obama twisted version of bankruptcy and would have survived a normal bankruptcy. GM would have survived for the same reason that Twinkies will be around for a long time. Liquidation means selling assets. Brand names and trade secret recipes are assets. I suspect that there is a line at the courthouse to buy the Hostess brands.
