This is exactly the conundrum I've been wrestling with since Nov 7th. Democrats hold a very diverse coalition of voters together who have little in common besides winning. Gays, blacks, feminists, unions, and eco-nuts agree on one thing--beating Republicans. we consist of defense hawks, fiscal hawks, and conservative Christians. The Democrats have been indoctrinating our youth for 40 years. They have moved toward secular humanism. They're turned off by religion in general and by evangelicals in particular. How do we hold together this coalition AND appeal to moderate single women? How do we win over Latinos when we're so fierce on border security? I'm very pro-enforcement, btw. Food for thought. We're truly between Ba-rock and a hard place.
