Also, it doesn't really matter WHERE the candidates campaign - only where they spend their resources.
With today's technology, there is plenty of information available to make an informed decision. You don't have to be in the same room with the candidates to know what they stand for.
While my vote doesn't matter in NY, it's nice that I'm not bombarded with campaign ads aimed at idiots that rely on truth-bending campaign ads to make their decision.
The problem is not with the electoral college system; the problem is with today's voters. Like it or not there are way too many voters who want America to be more socialist. There are way too many people who feel instead of think. Changing the voting system won't fix that.
