Yes, we've moved from a center-right electorate to a center-left people. Yes, we've changed demographically. But I always speak out that it is a mistake to presume people vote from ignorance. People who believe that start from a presumption that people should vote for the benefit of the country as a whole. NONSENSE. People vote their own personal pocketbook ... the benefit of the collective isn't even a close 2nd. I've talked 1 on 1 with enough democratic voters to learn they're fully conscious that they're consciously voting to get benefits they want others to provide. This isn't ignorance ... selfishness perhaps ... but they're not stupid, they know precisely what they want and the voting democratic is clearly a reasoned choice.
