First, I feel sorry for all the people in NJ and NY who lost power, and even their homes. But as a nation, we have GOT to get over this idea that increasing prices during disasters is an evil thing. If you have chosen to live on the east, or Gulf, coast, then you need to be far more prepared for a disaster than the rest of the country. If you aren't, then don't beg everyone else for help when the inevitable happens. If you have to pay higher prices for sheetrock, generators, and even food or water, it is simply a reflection of the scarcity of the goods you're attempting to purchase.
