No offense to the anti Tea Party crowd, but the Tea Party was actually quite successful for a while, I agree that it was eventually co opted by the Republican mainstream, and then the Democrats started making things up about it being a racist movement with the help of the media, but they were successful at electing members of Congress in a way that Occupy failed to do.
