Let's talk about 9-11. Republicans of today want to distance themselves from the false premises the Republican Party used to invade Iraq. The Republican Party linked Saddam Hussein with 911. George W. Bush and Richard Cheney never explicitly said Saddam Hussein plotted 911, but they often parroted something like the following; 1) "The 9-11 attacks were plotted by evil men." immediately followed or preceded by; 2) "Saddam Hussein is an evil man." George W. Bush and Richard Cheney would say those two sentences together many times. Fox News would frequently air clips of them repeating those same two sentences. The non-discerning viewer would figure that Saddam Hussein plotted 9-11.
