I will vote for Republicans who actually want to reduce the size and scope of government, but Mitt promised more government. His budget actually increased government spending 3.1% each year: http://finance.townhall.com/columnists/danieljmitchell/2012/08/17/explaining_ryans_budget_in_the_wall_street_journal/page/full/ which is more than population growth+inflation. And he wouldn't even say he wouldn't implement a VAT tax.
Like Bush, his rhetoric didn't match his record. But for Romney, it was his earlier record that didn't match his rhetoric.
