Until we make receiving Welfare have the same structure and restrictions as those who are employed then Welfare will always be the better deal. For instance, a gainfully employed parent gets 12 weeks off for pregnancy, but a Welfare recipient gets 5 years. An employee can be required to drug test, a Welfare recipient is not. Welfare pays for childcare, an employer does not. Welfare pays for subsidized housing, an employer does not. Do you see a trend here? You don't think young people haven't noticed?
