I like Jonah Goldberg, so I'd like him to come out and say he was wrong b/c I bought the partisan narrative on my side that the polls were wrong. Are there not any conservatives with the courage to say - it was not Romney's moderation (whatever he claimed for his base's ears) that lost it, but the social aspects of our ideology? Just going by anecdotal evidence there were more than a few percentage points worth of people out there who would have voted for Romney but for the fact that he had to say he agreed with the conservative social agenda in order to get the nomination and a turnout. It was the gay bashing and make believe War on Christianity elements of the ideology that lost this election. You can't fix it if you won't admit it.
