My church, a conservative protestant church, has recently formed a relationship with a black church for monthly prayer meetings and other occasional get-togethers.
I love the people I have met in the other church, but I was nervous about going on Wednesday night, until I got there and heard their prayers. These people are with us.
Anecdotal data? Of course, but it should not be completely discounted and discarded.
As long as we say blacks are just looking for handouts, we will never win them over. Sadly, many of them have been bamboozled by the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, and it will take a lot of work to undo this.
