How can you stand-up against tyranny, the real purpose behind the Second Amendment, if citizens can't own military-grade weapons? Recall - the Constitution and Bill of Rights were conceived as the Founders were throwing off the shackles of Great Britain and King George. Do you think they were concerned about hunting and target shooting? Wise up, will you? You sound like Bill O'Reilly. You can't combat tyranny by going against automatic machine guns, armed with black powder and bolt-action hunting rifles. As far as crimes committed with automatic rifles by law abiding citizens, I believe that's only happened once, back in the 30s. As for them being used in crime, even semi-automatic rifles, the percentage is very, very small.
