I wonder why then in the 18% of the country that allows it why hasn't there been a rush to gay marriage? You would think that every gay person in those states would marry and as it turns out, only a small handful even think about it let alone seek it. In NYC I don't see the gay community change their tune after gay marriage legislation to close the gay bars and bath houses because society now let them marry so there was no need for places where gays hook up for casual sex because they now could legitimize their union via the state? Since GBLT's make up less than 4% of the population, of those only a few want to play marriage.
