Gentle Readers, Off topic, but, 1. Reagan fought the Cold War, added 18 million jobs from a base of 54 million, and doubled GDP from $3 trillion a year to $6 trillion. His resolute Defense and Foreign policies ended the Cold War, resulting in huge defense savings. 2. Defense spending went down under Clinton because Reagans policies were successful. Reagan hired people to defend the country during the Cold War- they weren't needed in the Clinton Administration. 3. The Democrat Party majority in Congress raised taxes in Reagan Administration 11 times. 4. Tax cuts for working people is a good policy, ergo the EITC. You're right- Republicans cut taxes for WORKING PEOPLE, not ' the rich '. The rich only get tax cuts from Republicans
