The campaign was reminiscent of the knife fight scene in the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. A gang member challenges Sundance to a knife fight. Sundance says "We gotta get the rules straight", which distracts his opponent who answers "There ain't no rules in a knife fight". Sundance kicks the guy in the nuts and says "There ain't no rules in a knife fight". The Dems have always fought like Sundance, using any trick they could to win. The Repubs have always fought by the rules.
