It all comes down to the people versus the "political class". The political class runs both political parties, the bureauracy, unions, controls wall street, the banking and financial institutuons, the multinational companies and the media. The political class is controlled by the "K" street lobbyists and their billions of dollars of influence buying. There is a constant rotation of the same people through these various institutions and organiztions (Jon Corzine for example) as well as showing up as major "bundlers" (fund raisers) for political campaigns. The one thing the political class has in common is that they believe in big govennment as the source of their power and wealth though government funding (ie, taxpayer). The people lose.
