dahni, you are right--it's time we got on with solving the problem. It is instructive to note that, even with a Republican-controlled House, we have continued to spend $1 T + per year more than we take in. And, lest we forget, the Constitution provides that the Congress MUST APPROPRIATE the money before the President (and his administration) can spend it. Unfortunately, Speaker Boehner and his Republican majority in the House simply lack the courage to make real cuts in government spending, and dare the President to veto them. Incidentally, Secretary Clinton recently said, as an excuse for the Libyan fiasco that she had 60,000 employees in the State Dept. Can anyone justify that?
