Kyle, would you please remember those teachers are a minority? Though I teach high school math and generally keep politics out of the classroom, I give each student on his 18th birthday a pocket copy of the Constitution and Declaration and tell them, "Welcome to adulthood. Our nation's future is in your hands." I support reasonable, targeted cuts to public education funding: the bureaucracy is insanely top-heavy. Every "reform" results in more paperwork, requiring more administrators and further impeding teacher's ability to teach.
However, I am opposed to public vouchers for private schools. You and I have lived long enough to know that regulations WILL follow the acceptance of public money and destroy private schools too.
