townhall.com, why the censorship? First off, the Bishop didn't tell them that "they will go to hell". He said "To vote for someone in favor of these positions... could put your own soul in jeopardy.” You say the Bishop "crosses a line". Using that logic, you must then conclude that Hebrews 13:17 "crosses a line": "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you" (KJV). Yes, the Bishop is well within his purview to advise parishoners to take moral issues under advisement
