What a bunch of drivel. It's like Davis has been sleeping in a coma for the last 120 years and just awoke. Um, Davis, there are 12 swing states. Most of the nation is getting as much attention from the presidential candidates as Bahrain. And the states the candidates visit to, are by far, larger than the average state. Almost all of the swing states are in the top 15-20 population size. If you adore the Electoral college so much, why don't you want it on the state level? Why not vote for your governor the same way, if it is such a great system? After all, as you point out, a presidential race is not like a local school board race (what with majority will and decision and all), so why not have it on the level of a governor?
