Black children should also be taught by their parents that not only can they achieve their dreams, they can also fail just like anyone else if they don't meet the standards of those they are competing with. It really should be the way that Martin Luther King challenged us, by the character of the individual and not the color of the skin. If you can succeed in America as a black person....you can also fail based on your own hard work and character and not because of your race. And that is fair and just.
