I first voted in a general election in 1972. Then and ever since for every subsequent general election I cast my ballot for the Republican candidate, incumbent or challenger, often reluctantly. No more; I am done. Never again will I cast my vote for the lesser of two evils. I am almost hoping for President Obama’s reelection after having third-party candidates siphon off sufficient votes to make a decisive difference. Maybe then the RNC will wake up and in 2016 nominate a serious candidate offering to advance and not compromise U.S. national interests, one recognizing strategic overstretch, committing to fiscal discipline, supporting the rule of law, understanding basic economics, and possessing the moral and political courage to...
