Exactly. If Bush had not thrown us into 2 wars (one was definitely for oil, other we still dont know becuase most of 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia not Afghanistan), we would have been able to develop some good-quality infrastructure. By good-quality, i mean something that grows with increase in economy e.g. trains (Freeways for cars are stupid, building more lanes to tackle more cars is like buying a bigger pant to tackle obesity, it is not a long term solution). Further. people talking about free market: Southwest airlines, GM and firestone have long bribed politicans in Texas and elsewhere to pass laws to dismantle trains. So, much for the free market. It is free only for those that have money to bribe politicians.
