The govt. has the right to protect life, liberty and property. So how does this duty of the state square with sanctioning abortion? The fact is is that many laws today are not to be justified and supported by the letter of our supreme law, if not its spirit. Modern Progressivism, post 1965, has been marked by a kind of social atmosphere that has all but shorn us of the certitude of right and wrong; good and evil. The decrying of theocratic tyranny has been replaced with that of a state tyranny, albeit soft-peddled and well-meaning.
