On review of my statements above, I discovered an error. Certain rights are inalienable, life being the most important. Therefore abortion, the termination of life, violates that life's inalienable rights. Logically, the manner of which that life was created is irrelevant. Also, technology (IVF) complicates this issue considerably. However, I will never condemn a rape victim for terminating her pregnancy. I am not wise enough. Neither are judges. Therefore, only a mandate from the people can possibly suffice. You or I may not like that mandate. Some things in life cannot be resolved by frail, faulty, imperfect humans.
