Eric Cantor wouldn't be at the table with Obama if Cantor hadn't won his congressional election too. Does that election victory have consequences? Obama's arrogant approach is misguided; he thinks he has a mandate, and that he doesn't have to earn respect, credibility or leadership. What he doesn't understand is that he didn't win, he was the beneficiary of a perfect storm, he was elected because of the discontentment with GWB, not on his own merit. Of course, the last 4 years have shown that he has no merit, no substance, no skill, no competence.
