All these 'easy' voting rules, motor voter registration, early voting, absentee voting from the next block, no ID required to vote, etc were done to increase voter turn out to try and get more people interested in the political process. Now we're interested in the survival of the elections process. With this Pat Moran incident, it exposes some giant loopholes created by our attempts to devalue the voting process. If people had to walk 3 miles to the polling place, maybe only the serious would bother.
