So along comes a sane American, Dr. Williams, with an article worthy of any high school class about race, knowing about it from just about every angle.
A black man, tired of discrimination, here, got lots of black people to go to Liberia. They got there and tore up their passports, throwing them in the sea. After one day in that impoverished and quite foreign land, these acculturated Americans were at the beach, searching in the dark, with what lights they could find, for their passports. They were deceived. Many still are, a century after that ship sailed.
