One little problem with this article.
It isn't completely true.
A large protion of the SoCal farmers get their water from the Sacramento river. Evidenced by how many crops failed when the judge cut off the water because of some tiny little fish.
It also fails to mention that without the exports to China, the farmers would be going broke because of an excess in the crop, and no market here. It also leaves out the fact that without the water restrictions to homes, there were people letting gallons of water run down the storm drain because they were too lazy to go turn ff the water on the lawn.
Changing the rules is a good idea, including charging what the water actually costs, but misrepresenting the facts is not.
