In my career as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon (don't think facelift- think face through the windshield and cut your fingers off with a band saw) I was on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies. I made hospital rounds on my patients every day. I removed my patients sutures and changed their bandages. Think you get that in England? Think you can get to see a specialist the day you call? Think the plastic surgeon will come in to sew your child's facial laceration- insurance or not? Take a close look at the real answers to these questions in England today and see where you are headed, America. "Free" and "quality" are seldom part of the same sentence.
