This regime's "foreign policy" has as its ideological base the anti-American anti-war movement of the 1960's. That ideology was fundamentally Soviet communist inspired as an opposition of American power projected in the world. They characterized American actions as "Imperialist" to support their actions in the Third world to encourage peasant revolutions. Anti-Amercian was Anti-Imperialist and Anti-Colonialist. I think D"Souza's movie essay "2016" is really on to something about Obummer when he posits his world view is colored by Anti-Colonialism. This view was the accepted dogma of university International Relations depts from the 1960's forward.
