So much for the federal whistle blower protection laws. Having run afoul of them personally in the past they aren't of much use in protection. The false claim by the government is that a whistle blower can report the incidents through channels to protect himself and allow the proper people to look into the allegation. The problem with this "chain of command" reporting system is, as it is in this case, the people he would be reporting to are the people covering up the problem. Do the right thing, get fired, do the wrong thing by keeping your mouth shut and saying nothing, get hundreds if not thousands killed. And where does this problem start? Where they usually start, right at the top in the oval office that oversees it all.
