I recall well my favorit story from Kurt Vonnegut's book "Welocome to the Monkee House". In the story, all people were handicapped according to their capabilities. The guy telling the story is a great thinker, so he has a chip in him mind that goes off whenerver he has too deep a thought. He's watching a guy on TV doing Ballet, and you can tell he must be good because he is absolutely loaded down with weights and chains to slow his moves. The dancer breaks free from his chains, and does a beautiful dance, and he is shot. Of course, the narrator's brain is being fried as he thinks about what it means... Looks like we've arrived there. My brain is now fried.
