I once visited the Perry Castaneda Library on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin, to study for a national exam unrelated to UT. I just knew it was a good, quiet place to study. I arrived on a Saturday morning, shortly before the library opened. It was interesting to look around at the students lined up to study on a Saturday morning.
Based on that group, one would have thought that the ethnic makeup of the University was 60% Asian and 40% Anglo. No Blacks or Latinos in sight. I did find some of them later in the day when I went to the student union to get some lunch. Plenty there, playing pool and socializing.
