If you have ever been president of an organization and read the 'minutes' of a sectretary , you'd kinow that reading them and being there are NOT the same. The details of a discussion can't be completely recorded and nuances in body language, facial expression and tone of voice aren't recorded and they mean a lot. You may say 'I agree', but if your arms are folded, your face is angry and your voice angry- it doesn't mean the you really agree but that you were forced into agreeing. Only a lazy, unconcerned person would think they were equal in meaning.
