I'd be happy if a pastor at least demonstrated he understood what was happening in the world outside his church doors. They all seem mired in Christianity 101 and have no understanding of how bad of a moral and cultural situation we are in or how we got there. If they did, they wouldn't have to endorse a particle candidate because the congregation would the means to figure that out on their own. Having said that, I still welcome this step as it represents a small step in reasserting their independence from government interference and control. Of course, if the church was really a "church" in the Biblical sense, we would have pulled our children out of all public schools, en masse, in 1963.
