Barack Obama still enjoys the goodwill of the American people because the media still paints him as a can do no wrong, saint, hampered by an economy screwed up by George W. Bush and a Congress that won't cooperate. If the media were really unbiased and truthful, Obama would have a 25% approval rating and this coming election would not even be close. The disconnect is that most people get their information from the media and the media is not truthful.
