Jesus' teachings are far to the left of any major politician in office today. He told us to take care of the poor and oppressed including the sick and immigrants. He told us to end war, and he told us to be tolerant of the views and lifestyles of others. Jesus didn't say a word about abortion of homosexuality. It is the fundamentalist, social conservatives like Prager that are turning well intended spiritual seekers away from religion. Who wants to be like that? Jesus contradicted the social conservatives of his day, reserving some of his sharpest words or them.
