The defining failure of socialism is not that all such governments have and will continue to collapse. It is that socialism failed in its preeminent purpose of narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor even while they survived. A man does not fail when and because he dies. If a man fails it is because he did not live up to his promise while he was alive. Name me the socialist country where the gap between the rich and the poor was narrowed. More often the gap between the middle class and the poor is narrowed and that by dragging the middle class down to the poor.
