All I know is that the price of my favorite "oat" bread at the "Wall Market" just went from $3.00 to $3.38.
And the family-sized lasagna tray that used to cost $9.99 is now $12.99. Actually, there still is a $9.99 tray, but it is 33% smaller.
Then, perusing the men's clothing at the same place, where I look for "fitness" clothing, we find paper-thin "active wear" that is a shadow of previous versions.
"Free" trade has destroyed American's understanding of the true "Made in America" quality that made us the envy of the world. The quality is now rock-bottom, imported JUNK, but the prices keep going up,up,up.
As my grandfather used to say, "If it's junk, then you can never say you got a good deal."
(Actually, I said that)
Thanks, Uncle Ben!
