"...who gave up 10 percent of pay last year through furloughs..." Wait. I realize that people who are furloughed aren't the ones who chose it but if you're told to come to work less often but paid the same hourly rate you are not in any way giving up money. The only way you would give up 10 percent is if you worked the same hours but got paid 10 percent less. This is not to say that they have no right to complain, but they should complain accurately.
