"Have you researched or read the latest reports on the Antartic ice reaching record highs?"
You need to distinguish between sea ice, which has been showing a modest increase in the antarctic and the continental ice sheets which have been showing dramatic losses. The sea ice gains are likely temporary, caused more by changes in wind patterns. Compared to the losses in the arctic, they are small.
The losses to the west antarctic ice sheet (wais) are more permanent and much more signficant.
