For several years now the public schools have been cracking down on what is allowed to be sent to school for a snack. Cookies? Nope. Candy? Nope. Cake? Nope. Parents have to send fruit, veggies, granola, or some other leftie-approved foodstuff. No more Mom bringing cupcakes to the class to celebrate a child's birthday. No more homemade chocolate chip cookies. No more selling candy bars or bake sales after school to raise money for school activities. I remember in Junior High we used to have bagel sales after school to raise money. My child's school won't allow that. For a while kids used to sell Krispy Kremes. Not any more. The food police won't allow it.
