While that is very well said, here is one major issues I have with Allen.... a very rare issues to be sure. Federal Government has no Constitutional right to provide Medicare. If we are suppose to be a party of the Constitution we can not be hypocrites about it.
Obviously Medicare can not be overturned for those on it, and those close to it. That's obvious, but we do need to do so eventually.
The best that Federal Government can do, under its rights, is to issue tax breaks/vouchers. That would be within its power.
BTW I really don't care what Supreme Court says, Constitution states what it states, and while Activist Court has done much to subvert the Constitution; the simple fact remains that the document itself has not changed.
