Capital punishment does not mean to kill innocents but, unlike a car accident that results in death, the sole purpose of capital punishment is death. I am not misguided. I have done extensive research and have found that because of the systematic exclusion of certain groups of people onto capital juries, death qualified juries are not only more likely to convict the defendant, they are also more likely to believe the judge, prosecutor and defense attorney believe the defendant to be guilty. If a jury is predisposed to believe the defendant is guilty, how can we possible trust the verdict?
