I explored the teaching as a 2nd career, I rejected it for several reasons.
First, I was a "teacher" in the Army, as a trainer of my troops at the unit level, as a Drill Sergeant, and as a platform instructor at the Army Armor School. I am familiar with how to convey information to students so that it can be understood and retained.
Second , the schools I reviewed were focused on "passing" students, not teaching to standard.
Also, I saw little value in wanting that a teacher have an MA in Ed., when many teachers have zero real life experiences to go with the degree.
Here's a "multiple guess" exam for you.
From whom do you seek to learn Science?
A) A newly graduated Education Student?
B) A Lab Tech with 20 years experience?
