Oh, and another thing - most first ladies have causes, I get that. Michelle's is childhood obesity, which is a real problem, absolutely. Laura Bush's, I believe, was literacy, which I think is just as important, if not more important in a free society.
But Mrs. Bush didn't get the government to pass laws and regulations mandating how much kids should read, or what they should read. She promoted her cause through encouragement and public support for it, trusting people to make their own decisions for themselves and their families.
That's the difference between liberals and conservatives, right there.
