Thomas, Take a look at the CRS report released several days ago. They conclude there is no correlation between low top tax rates and economic growth. They main effect is to provide a bigger piece of the pi to the wealthy. This the confusion of a nonpartisan research arm of the Congress. Since it disagrees with your fundamental premise of economics and politics, I am sure you will either ignore it or find that it was politically motivated.
