We would be better off to take Congress back to a part-time legislature, eliminating the career politician. Pay them a salary that covers costs of missing their primary career for 2-3 months. And, most importantly, build an expectation for those representatives that IF IT'S NOT BROKE DON'T TRY TO FIX IT. So many of our layers of bureaucracy is from simply having a full-time Congress who 'need to do something.'
Just get rid of the massive regulatory layers, sit down, and leave us alone.
